I have taught over 100 eight-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) programs, and I’ve delivered hundreds of mindfulness-based workshops and retreats over more than 30 years. I also teach Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention for Addictive Behaviors (MBRP). My mindfulness teachings span across healthcare, business, schools, sports, and the private sector. With more than 50 years of experience in practicing and teaching meditation, yoga, and tai chi, I strive to create impactful learning environments. Group Information.

My MBSR classes provide continuing education (CE) credits for Social Workers, Psychologists, Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors, Nurses, Acupuncturists, and Massage and Bodywork professionals. Several other organizations also accept these CE credits. For more information on CE opportunities, you can visit: https://www.stressbeaters.com/mbsr-education/cme-and-ce-credit-information/.

In 1998, I created the Attention Academy school program, which became a pivotal study in developing mindfulness in schools. I continue to work with children as a member of the Board of Directors at innerexplorer.org. Additionally, I have led several mindfulness-based research studies in the healthcare field.

As a business entrepreneur, I am a healthcare management professional and have founded and operated multiple successful service-oriented businesses in the healthcare sector. I also serve on the Board of Directors for three mindfulness-based nonprofit organizations. By combining management, financial, and marketing skills, I aim to maximize the growth of these organizations while applying the principles of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Peak Performance to create a uniquely effective business model.
